Accountability Coach: Finally Follow Through on What Matters Most
You know exactly what you need to do. You start strong, then life gets in the way, and the thing that matters most slips to next week. Again.
You're tired of letting yourself down. You want to keep your promises to yourself as well as you keep them to everyone else.
This time, let's finish it.
Keeping your word to yourself
Most people hear "accountability" and picture someone with a clipboard, or a coach yelling at them to try harder. No wonder they keep putting it off.
To me, accountability means keeping your word to yourself. You say you'll do it, and you do it. And when you don't, you look at why with honest eyes, without beating yourself up, and go again. That's what having your own back looks like.
Every promise you keep to yourself builds self-trust. Every one you break teaches you that your word doesn't count. After enough years of "next week", you stop believing yourself.
As your accountability coach, I help you get that trust back. We build follow-through that comes from within you, so you don't need anyone dragging you over the finish line. And when you get there, you become dangerously effective.
What does an accountability coach do?
You've tried the apps. The planners. The habit trackers. Maybe even a coach who shouted at you. They all work from the outside, and they work for about three weeks.
Most people who come looking for accountability coaching think they need more pressure. In my experience, they're solving the wrong problem. As long as you need something outside of you to keep you going, you'll stop the moment it's gone.
So I start with a different question: what's actually stopping you?
Sometimes it's an excuse, and you just need to get over yourself. (Yes, I'll tell you.) Many times it's a pattern you've been repeating for years: the fear of getting it wrong, an inner critic that beats you down, or a feeling that rises in your body the moment you sit down to do the hard thing. Part of my job is telling the excuse from the pattern. The excuse gets called out. The pattern gets worked through.
Either way, it comes back to the two things I build with every client: mental strength and emotional resilience. Managing your mind and managing your emotions. Work on both, and you'll see it in what you do: the plan gets used and the projects get done. Mindset work without behaviour change is just mental entertainment. That's why I work as a mindset and accountability coach. We work on the person who has to do the work.
Who this isn't for: if you want someone to text you "did you do it?" every morning and do the chasing for you, I'm the wrong coach. I work with capable people who want to find out what stands in their way, and change it for good.
Sound familiar?
Sunday evening. You've got a plan for the week, and this time you mean it.
Monday goes well. On Tuesday, a client needs something urgently. On Wednesday, you open the thing you've been avoiding, feel a wave of "I don't even know where to start", and decide to clear your inbox first. It feels productive, and the big thing waits.
By Thursday, you've found a very good reason to leave it till next week. (You always do.)
Friday, you're annoyed with yourself. Again.
Next Sunday, you make a new plan.
If this is you, you're in good company. You're capable. You've built things. You keep your promises to clients, your team and your family. The one person you keep letting down is you.
"She also kept me brilliantly accountable!"

What I do as your accountability coach
You'll see exactly what you're avoiding
Every month you send me a short report on what got done and what didn't. The "didn't" is where the gold is.
You'll stop backing off the moment it gets uncomfortable
Everyone loves the quote about growth happening outside your comfort zone. Nobody prepares you for what it actually feels like in your body when you get there. So most people feel it, and retreat. They don't even notice they've done it. They just find something more urgent to do.
I teach you to recognise that feeling and process it, until it no longer runs your day. Once you can feel it and act anyway, there isn't much you can't do.
"Growth outside your comfort zone makes a lovely quote. In your body, it feels a lot less lovely."
You'll get on your own side
Many of my clients expect themselves to work like a machine, with none of the support a machine would need. When they fall short, the inner critic takes over, and the cycle starts again.
We break that cycle by asking a better question: "What do I need to bring my A game and get this done?" Sometimes the answer is a different environment, more support or a more realistic plan. Being on your own side gets more done than beating yourself up ever did.
You'll have me in your corner between sessions
You have access to me between our sessions. With some clients I'm in touch daily, with others less, depending on what's going on in their world. When something doesn't get done, we don't skip over it. We look at it together. And if you don't quite believe it's possible for you yet, that's OK. I'll believe it for you until you do.
"Being able to contact Alex throughout the week if I had a question (or a meltdown) was also super reassuring."
Claire Crowley, Online Fitness Coach and host of The Strong Feminine
You'll keep going when you most want to quit
We commit to six months, because the moment you most want to quit is usually the moment right before it gets easier.
The tracker she wouldn't open
One of my clients runs her own service business. She's brilliant at what she does, and her clients love her. Together we built a simple tracker so she could see what was really happening in her business. All the numbers in one place. Nowhere to hide.
She didn't open it. For weeks.
Every time she sat down to do it, the same thoughts came up: "I'm not a numbers person." "I'm not good at this stuff." "I feel stupid." "This is a waste of time." And with them, a wave of overwhelm rising in her body. So she did something else. Every time.
So we stopped pushing and worked with her. Small steps, one part of the tracker at a time. Each time one of those thoughts came up, we looked at it: is that actually true? Says who?
Slowly, she started using it. Then she started changing it, until it fitted her business instead of someone else's template.
Today she understands her business better than any business coach could. She makes decisions based on what's really happening, and she feels in control. What changed most was how she sees herself: as someone who knows her numbers and runs her business with confidence.

Client story
"If you are looking for a coach that will go on the journey with you, won't take your BS, but always is coming from a place of love, then I highly recommend her."
Lindsay Hood
Life Coach, UK
Lindsay came to me as she moved from employee to boss. She didn't want to be visible, and money felt like a "dirty" topic. By the end of our work, she'd launched her website, learned to network, attended an expo, booked herself in as a speaker and started asking for what she's worth.

Why work with an accountability coach?
Look at anyone at the top of their game: a surgeon, a founder, a CEO. None of them got there alone. They have a team around them, including a coach. At their level, the difference comes from small things they can't see themselves, like the call they keep putting off or the standard that slips when they're tired. A good coach spots those early and holds them to what matters most.
I'm not for everyone, and I'm fine with that. Some people want a coach to do the work for them. Some want someone to nod along while nothing changes. I want you to master yourself so well that follow-through comes from within you.
There's a saying I love: an idiot in action beats a genius at rest. My clients are far from idiots. But the ones who get the biggest results are the ones who act before they feel ready.
When you truly know yourself and get things done from the inside, you become unstoppable.

"Her tell-it-like-it-is attitude truly helps you step up to the plate to get your stuff DONE! If you are on the fence about working with her, follow your gut and say YES to yourself!"
Elizabeth de Moraes, Executive Presence Coach, US
Accountability coaching FAQs
An accountability coach is someone you answer to while you do what you said you'd do. Most check in and ask whether it's done. I go a step further. When it isn't done, I want to know why, so we can rewire the pattern for good. Over time, you need the check-in less and less, because the follow-through comes from you.
It's worth it if you're willing to do the work. Six months from now, you can be looking back on real progress. Or you can be exactly where you are today, still giving in to the same excuses, and feeling rubbish about yourself anyway. The months pass either way. What changes is what you have to show for them.
You can reach me between sessions whenever you need to. Some weeks we're in touch daily, other weeks less. It depends on what you're going through. Each month you also send me a short report on what got done and what didn't. What didn't get done usually points straight at what we need to work on next, so that's where we start.
Most people think they need a better plan. Usually, the plan is fine. What stops them is what comes up when it's time to act, like the doubt that it's good enough or the overwhelm before they've even started. So they reach for something easier. We work on exactly that moment, until you can feel all of it and act anyway. If your days feel scattered and you never get to the big stuff, my productivity coaching may help too.
I don't have a price list, because no two programmes are the same. Once we've talked, you'll get a personalised quote for six months of coaching: sessions of 60 to 90 minutes, support between sessions and your monthly reports. Our first conversation and the deep consultation are both free, so you'll know exactly what you're investing in before you say yes.
Yes. I'm an accountability coach for clients across the UK, Europe, the US and further afield. All my coaching happens online, on Zoom, and the support between sessions works wherever you are.
